ORLANDO, FL - Multimodality vendor Philips Medical Systems spotlighted demonstration versions of applications created through its partnership with healthcare informatics developer Epic Systems of Madison, WI, at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference on Monday.
The Andover, MA-based vendor debuted its integrated RIS/PACS consisting of Philips' EasyAccess radiology PACS and Epic’s Radiant RIS products. In addition, it Philips introduced an integrated solution combining Epic’s EpicCare electronic medical record with Philips' Xcelera CLM catheterization lab management system and the TraceMasterVue ECG management system.
Philips plans on continuing integration efforts with Epic for the remainder of 2004, and having products ready for release to the general market in the first quarter of 2005, according to Heather Willis, Phillips alliance manager for Epic.
