Swedish PACS, digital mammography, and communications developer Sectra reported net sales of 119 million Swedish kronor ($15.7 million U.S.), compared with sales of 108.6 million kronor ($14.3 million) for the same period last year.
For the first three quarters (end-January 31), the Linköping-based vendor had a profit after net financial items of 60.7 million kronor ($7.9 million), a 19% increase compared with profit of 51 million kronor ($6.7 million) for the first three quarters of the previous fiscal year.
The firm said that its largest business area, Medical Systems, performed well during the third quarter, with an increase in international sales through various partners. It noted that a large portion of sales of radiology image management systems in markets outside Scandinavia are pure software sales, where partners are responsible for hardware and services. These transactions give a high contribution margin but the volume of each order is small, said Sectra.
