Agfa adds Voxar 3D

Agfa HealthCare has integrated Scottish 3-D software developer Voxar’s 3-D software into its Impax PACS network.

The integration of Voxar 3D version 4.2 brings unlimited, site-wide 3-D viewing capability to Impax users, according to Agfa of Mortsel, Belgium, and Voxar of Edinburgh, Scotland.

The new version of Voxar 3D includes integrated PET visualization functionality such as 2-D, MIP, MPR, and 3-D visualization, simultaneous comparison of PET and CT images, and image enhancement and measurement tools, the companies said. The two vendors signed a global distribution agreement in the fourth quarter of 2003.
