SCAR hotline goes online

The Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) is bringing its SCAR Expert Hotline online. To be available on SCAR's Web site, the question-and-answer resource will be archived and updated online for access by both members and non-members, according to the Great Falls, VA-based society.

Searching and viewing the service is free; SCAR members will be able to post questions free of charge, while non-members can post for a $125 fee (which includes a one-year SCAR membership). SCAR said that the new online archive is funded by a National Institutes of Health/National Library of Medicine grant, and was developed by the Radiology Informatics Laboratory of the Medical College of Wisconsin under the direction of Paul Nagy, Ph.D.
