PACS firm American Medical Sales has formed a strategic partnership with 3D software developer Rapidia. Rapidia’s 3D viewing software will be integrated with the Hawthorne, CA-based vendor’s Catella PACS product suite.

Rapidia 3D, which generates 3D images from CT or MRI 2D image sets, includes 3D volume rendering, interactive 3D multiplanar reformation (MPR), 3D localizer, 3D rotating MPR, bone segmentation, multiple object definition, and virtual endoscopy suites, AMS said.
