Agfa HealthCare has been awarded two contracts for implementation of its Impax for Cardiology PACS product at two National Health Service (NHS) Trusts in the U.K., according to the Mortsel, Belgium-based vendor.
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust comprises three hospitals based in Leicester: Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital, and Leicester Royal Infirmary. The Trust is one of the largest teaching hospitals in the U.K., with nearly 10,000 staff members, Agfa said. The firm will integrate the Impax for Cardiology system with existing Impax radiology components at the site.
The North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust operates all NHS hospitals in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and Goole, and currently employs more than 4,700 staff. The Impax for Cardiology system will be in place by the middle of this summer, the company said.
