HIMSS taps Garets to lead research unit

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has named David Garets as president and CEO of its new subsidiary company, which will provide research and information services to the healthcare information technology market.

Garets, formerly executive vice president at Healthlink, will assume his new position May 1, according to the Chicago-based society.
