Healthcare information systems firm CPU Medical Management Systems of San Diego has launched a new online disaster recovery and storage service. The service will allow the company's customers to recover data and use its Web MED/FM practice management system while their system is rebuilt after a disaster.
CPU clients will provide the company with monthly backups of their MED/FM patient billing data, which will be stored in an off-site facility that CPU operates. If a disaster occurs, CPU will restore the client's most recent backup and make the data available to the client via the Internet. Clients can then access their date via a Web browser.
