Healthcare informatics developer IDX Systems reported revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 2004 of $102.6 million, an 11% increase compared with $92.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2003.
Net income for the period (end-March 31) was $1.6 million, a downturn compared with 2003 first-quarter net income of $3.8 million. The first-quarter 2004 results reflect startup costs associated with the company's business in the U.K., which the firm said it expects to be accretive to earnings beginning this year. IDX said it remains comfortable with projected 2004 revenue of $500 million-$525 million
The Burlington, VT-based vendor reported that Wellspan Health Systems of York, PA, has upgraded its RIS to the firm’s integrated RIS/PACS, Imagecast. In addition, the University of California, Davis Health System will be utilizing the Imagecast RIS at its facility, the company said.
