The Nuovo Ospedale di Asti in Asti, Italy is scheduled to install GE Healthcare's Centricity RIS/PACS, according to the Waukesha, WI-based multimodality vendor.
The $5 million (U.S.) deal includes tablet PCs for wireless access to radiology images and reports, as well as online archiving in a replicated storage-area network (SAN) configuration. The system will be used by 200 clients throughout the enterprise, and will be integrated with all other hospital IT systems, GE said.
