GE Healthcare has signed PACS agreements with three facilities in Spain.
Eleven hospitals will be integrated into a Centricity data center equipped with an EMC 24-terabyte Centera archive, which is designed to store one million exams a year. In another $5.5 million contract, GE has landed a multimodality agreement with the city of Fuenlabrada to outfit an all-digital radiology department, also utilizing Centricity RIS/PACS.
Also, the Ib-Salud (Servei de salud de les illes Balears) in the Balearic Islands has selected Centricity RIS/PACS for its Son Llatzer, Manacor and Ibiza hospitals as part of a $1.2 million agreement.
