PACS developer Connect Imaging has launched StudyManager, an interface between imaging modalities and PACS networks designed to manage the order of imaging studies.
The application allows different parts of a study or study series to be matched with appropriate physician orders, thus performing the essential elements of the presentation of grouped procedures (PGP) integration profile, a component of the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative, according to the Honolulu-based vendor.
StudyManager also allows image studies from modalities such as CT, CR, and MRI to be rearranged when the imaging modality sends them to a PACS in the wrong order. The program can be used in conjunction with most PACS software, the company said.
