Milwaukee-based RIS/PACS provider Merge eFilm has released the latest iteration of its PACS offering, Fusion PACS 1.2.7.
The Fusion PACS 1.2.7 features enhanced Web-based delivery of images and reports to referring physicians, and provides the capability to integrate the Fusion Web user interface into a customer's Web site for referring-physician access to reports and images. In addition, the software includes automated access to third-party legacy DICOM archives and expanded image manipulation tools via an image viewer plug-in, the company said. The plug-in also enables a third party to embed image and report viewing capabilities into its own solutions
The latest version also includes an enhanced secure filtering capability that allows customers to manage multiple varied levels of access restrictions by referring physicians. This provides the flexibility to manage HIPAA compliance in the manner that best fits organizational needs, the firm said. In addition, search capabilities have been added that allow clinicians to create specific queries that may reduce time spent searching for patient studies, according to Merge eFilm.
