Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC, and enterprise master person index (MPI) software developer Initiate Systems have signed a reseller agreement, allowing Agfa to offer Initiate's MPI offering as an integrated component of its Impax PACS software.
The combination allows for unified cross-facility management of patients' imaging studies across integrated delivery networks (IDNs), Agfa said. The multiyear agreement will make the joint offering available initially to the North American market.
Agfa will offer the Chicago-based vendor's Hub software as an option to its enterprise customers as an integrated Impax component for the management of multiple identification domains of diagnostic imaging patients. In addition, an upgrade option will be available for extension beyond imaging to the rest of the enterprise, Agfa said.
