Agfa PACS, RIS gateway get Air Force OK

Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC, reported that its Impax PACS product has received the Approval to Operate (ATO) and a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) from the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General's office and the Air Force Communications Agency.

The firm said its Impax 4.5 PACS, Impax Web1000, and Agfa Mil-PACS RIS Gateway were included in the certification and accreditation. The CoN and ATO are based on guidelines defined by the Defense Information Systems Agency, in accordance with Department of Defense regulations for IT security, according to Agfa.
