Healthcare informatics provider IDX Systems reported second-quarter revenues of $130.4 million, up 32.7% compared with the $98.3 million turned in during the same period in 2003.
The revenue gains were driven by both U.S. and international growth, IDX said. The firm said that it remains comfortable with its projected 2004 revenue guidance of $500 million to $525 million and earnings per share (EPS) guidance of 95¢ to 99¢. Looking ahead, IDX projects 2005 revenues of $600 million to $650 million, with EPS guidance of $1.20 to $1.35.
In new PACS orders, IDX has signed an agreement to provide its Imagecast PACS network to Temple University Health System. The Philadelphia-based institution will be integrating Imagecast PACS with its existing Imagecast RIS, currently installed at three of its four hospitals.
IDX has also received an order for its Imagecast RIS/PACS offering from Inova Health System in Fairfax, VA. All four Inova hospitals, which use the vendor's Carecast enterprise-wide clinical information system, will incorporate Imagecast.
