PACS software developer eRad/Image Medical (EIM) has signed an agreement with MedLink VPN, clearing the way for sales of EIM software through MedLink VPN's Web portal.
Under the terms of the deal, EIM's PracticeBuilder software will be accessed through MedLink VPN, a virtual private network that enables healthcare providers to transfer patient data, medical images, billing, and insurance claims through a secure network.
Allentown, PA-based EIM and MedLink VPN, a subsidiary of Western Media Group Corporation located in Islandia, NY, will install their combined system at hospitals that have implemented MedLink VPN. The VPN system is currently installed at hospitals in New York and California.
