PACS vendor DR Systems has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for diagnostic reading of digital mammography images on its PACS network.
As a result, mammography reading can now be integrated into the system's RIS/PACS workflow capabilities for patient image and information management, automated reporting, storage, archive, and Web-based distribution, according to the San Diego-based vendor.
