Cardiac PACS firm Heartlab has completed its first European core lab installation for its CardioNow telecardiology and image management network, with Heart Core in the Netherlands employing the system for cardiovascular device and drug studies.
As a result, images can now be transferred electronically from investigator sites to angiographic and ultrasound core labs anywhere in the world for analysis, according to the Westerly, RI-based firm.
In other new-client developments, Heartlab has received an order from Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. The Peoria, IL-based institution has chosen the firm's Encompass cardiac network for its newly opened Methodist Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute.
