StorageTek acquires Storability

Data-storage firm StorageTek of Louisville, CO, has acquired Storability, an enterprise storage management firm based in Southborough, MA.

Storability's Global Storage Manager software enables users to manage a multivendor enterprise data storage network, while reducing archiving-related costs, according to the companies. Storability recently announced a new version that adds analytical tools to the product.

StorageTek purchased all of Storability's intellectual property, software license agreements, customer contracts, and other assets. StorageTek expects that all 70 Storability employees will join StorageTek.
