Iron Mountain to buy Connected

Medical records storage firm Iron Mountain has signed a definitive agreement to acquire storage software developer Connected for approximately $117 million in cash.

The acquisition would offer flexibility to customers who prefer to in-source online data backup or archiving offerings rather than an outsourced service, the Boston-based company said.
