Amicas is highlighting a range of new PACS technologies at the show.
Following its acquisition earlier this year by VitalWorks, PACS firm Amicas has been designated the healthcare IT firm's radiology division, responsible for all of the radiology products and services previously offered by VitalWorks. And with the planned sale of VitalWorks' remaininig medical operations to Cerner announced November 16, Amicas is slated to be the sole focus of VitalWorks.
In line with its new role, Boston-based Amicas is bringing to the show an expanded Vision Series product line, which will encompass Vision Series PACS, Vision Series RIS (the former VitalWorks RadConnect RIS), and Vision Series Financials (the former VitalWorks Practice Manager Radiology system).
In different areas of the booth, Amicas will highlight integration between Vision Series PACS and Vision Series RIS, Heartlab's Encompass Cardiology PACS, Voxar 3D, TeraRecon's AquariusNet software, OrthoView's orthopedic planning software, PACSGear technology, Dictaphone's PowerScribe speech recognition software, and Meditech's electronic medical record (EMR).
All of these systems are accessible with one-click integration with Amicas' RealTimeWorklist. In addition, Amicas will discuss its Insight Services professional services portfolio for customers.
Amicas will also show off new features on Vision Series PACS, including integrated 3D study cropping with targeted review, and speed enhancements for its LightBeam and LightView offerings. Also added: customer branding and customization options, a skimming tool, and an enhanced patient data editor. The company will also demonstrate ThinView, a work-in-progress referring physician module.
