Cedara will be spotlighting a range of clinical packages for PACS this year.
The Mississauga, Ontario-based firm will be highlighting a range of packages designed to allow radiologists and other specialists to launch a range of clinical tools (including orthopedic planning tools, as well as digital mammography screening, 3D, and multidetector CT studies) from a single PACS workstation.
CT Works is an image management offering designed to help radiologists handle the large amount of data produced by multidetector CT (MDCT) scanners. Cedara said it will also be debuting a spinal analysis application, developed to reduce the time surgeons and radiologists require to determine standard spinal measurements, as well as for planning of therapy or intervention.
In addition, Cedara has readied a clinical data management system designed specifically for orthopedic surgeons, hospital administrators, and implant manufacturers. The company will also point to a PACS-ready plug-in for PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and molecular imaging users.
Another item on Cedara's agenda: 3D ultrasound guidance for interventional surgical procedures such as needle biopsies and ablative procedures.
