Ferrania will feature developments with its RIS/PACS program, as well as a new printer line.
LifeWeb One provides acquisition, display, and distribution of images and reports, employing dedicated image storage capability on CD-R and DVD-R media. Designed for smaller organizations and those beginning the conversion to a digital environment, One includes workflow automation procedures, DICOM multiframe and image series stack mode display, Ferrania said.
Another LifeWeb addition, onNet, is a DICOM-compliant Web server used to distribute, visualize, and process images and data. With onNet, physicians can use an ordinary PC as a clinical viewing station, via automatic configuration of Internet Explorer, Ferrania said.
Ferrania is also directing attention to imageManager, an image management and storage product. A database-driven storage, query, and retrieval service, imageManager also provides support for CD, DVD, or magneto-optical disk (MOD) media, and can operate in single or multiserver configurations, Ferrania said.
In printer developments, Ferrania is bringing its LifeImager 6000 line of dry imagers to the show. An entry-level system, 6010 has a print size of 14 x 17 inches. Another addition, 6021, provides printing sizes of 11 x 14 inches and 8 x 10 inches.
The 6024 model offers online print sizes of 14 x 17 inches and 8 x 10 inches; both the 6021 and 6024 systems can print on either film or A4 paper, Ferrania said.
The flagship model is 6050, which automatically selects print sizes from 14 x 17 inches and 8 x 10 inches. Images can also be printed in color on paper or transparency film. All members of the 6000 line employ a smart card to store setup data and departmental/user preferences, Ferrania said.
