Healthcare informatics provider IDX Systems will showcase its image management products at RSNA 2004.
The Burlington, VT-based vendor said it will debut phase one of a new user interface strategy, an enhanced interpreting provider worklist, and a prototype of its Imagecast PACS cardiology solution at the RSNA meeting.
The interpreting provider worklist component is optimized for seamless integration and workflow between a RIS, PACS, and voice recognition report creation software, the firm said. The integration allows a transition between reviewing new and historical relevant information exams, viewing images, report creation dictation, and results distribution, according to IDX.
The company's Imagecast PACS is built exclusively on a single RIS/PACS database strategy, allowing it to maintain a single database instance of all patients and exams. It also employs a Web-based architecture that incorporates workflow and image distribution technologies for each unique user from a single integrated database. Real-time, bidirectional communication is provided with over 1,500 modalities, the company said.
The application is targeted toward academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, hospitals, and diagnostic imaging centers, and is available now in the U.S., IDX said.
