PACSGear will add a film scanning system to its product line.
PacsScan Film is a film scanning system that integrates with any PACS network, according to the Pleasanton, CA-based firm. PacsScan Film users can scan films and associated clinical documents without any training, by utilizing bar code and DICOM worklist technologies, PACSGear said. The product can also be paired with any DICOM printer to produce duplicate films.
In other product news, PACSGear has added an option to its PacsScan Enterprise patient document storage and management system. Faxed documents can now be received electronically and added to the appropriate patient file, according to the company.
PACSGear will also highlight enhanced PACS integration for PacsScan Enterprise, offering hands-free display of related clinical documents for each study being read.
