Planar will add mobile display workstations and a new network application to its product line.
Planar will debut Dome Surgery Review Cart, designed to facilitate deployment of PACS in the operating room. Dome Surgery Review Cart will come in four display versions mounted on a cart that can be draped, cleaned, and moved, according to the Beaverton, OR-based firm.
The display includes Planar's Dome CXtra software, as well as a Dome video card capable for use with standard PCs for viewing studies. Dome Surgery Review Cart will be available in 2- and 3-megapixel configurations.
Dome Dashboard is a network application designed to manage and monitor the performance of Planar displays in PACS applications. For example, it provides alerts if a display is down, if its calibration is off, or if the white level has dropped out of tolerance, Planar said. Dome Dashboard will be released in February 2005.
