ScImage will be focusing on version 2.0 of its PICOMEnterprise storage package.
The new release provides for an order-driven workflow for radiology departments, while also giving other departments a tool for acquisition, storage, and distribution of both images and reports, according to the Los Altos, CA-based firm.
Version 2.0 also includes a new interface engine to provide a single point of entry through any third-party RIS, EMR, or practice management system, ScImage said. The firm said that HyperStreaming technology allows for instant viewing of images over a broadband connection, without using any proprietary image-formatting techniques.
