Enhancements to Sky, Cosmos, and KinetDx are on tap for Siemens.
Siemens has added several new features to its Sienet Sky PACS offering, including 3D functions for MR and CT, and a workflow tracking tool and a doctor's rounds worklist, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor. Floating licenses are also now available for Sky.
The company's Sienet Cosmos RIS/PACS network, shown as a work-in-progress at the 2003 RSNA meeting, is now available. The company will show enhancements to Cosmos, including specialized application packages for orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncology, vascular applications, and cardiology.
The Novius RIS component for Cosmos now provides access to lab reports and clinical notes. Cosmos can also support a legacy film archive, as well as yield filmless and paperless operation, Siemens said. iMaxcess, a new communication protocol, provides fast data transfers of large imaging studies, according to the vendor.
The company's KinetDx radiology and cardiology ultrasound image management offering will also benefit from expanded functionality, including the ability to retrieve and display CT, MR, and cath lab angiography images.
KinetDx can now provide evidence-based reporting, including an XML report upload capability to brokerless HIS/RIS systems, Siemens said. In addition, KinetDx can share storage infrastructure and Web-based distribution of images and reports with Cosmos and Magic, and can be fully integrated with other Siemens RIS/PACS product lines, Siemens said.
