Healthcare information technology vendor McKesson is set to debut Horizon Rad Station at the RSNA show.
McKesson of Richmond, British Columbia, will be showcasing its enterprise PACS workstation offering, Horizon Rad Station, on the exhibit floor of McCormick Place. The product includes performance-enhancing adaptive image loading and virtual image management, which optimize image delivery regardless of the study size without the need for proprietary compression methods, according to the developer.
Horizon Rad Station includes built-in support for scanned documents report creation, voice clips, and MPR display. In addition, optional functionality for advanced 3D, PET fusion imaging, nuclear medicine, and orthopedics is available, as are Web (port 80 HTTP) and high-performance configurations.
The product, built on the Microsoft Windows operating system, supports open-standards architecture, including DICOM, IHE, HL7, and CCOW compatibility, McKesson said.
Horizon Rad Station has U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance under several premarket notification submissions, the company reported. It is scheduled to be available in the U.S. and Canada in March 2005, with support for other countries to follow.
