Agfa is planning to feature a range of enhancements to its IT portfolio, including the latest version of its RIS/PACS/reporting offerings.
Agfa will also be directing attention to the latest release of its Impax PACS software, which includes mammography enhancements such as integration with computer-aided detection (CAD) software from iCAD of Nashua, NH. Workflow improvements and support for new Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) profiles have also been added, according to the Morstel, Belgium-based vendor. In addition, Agfa will be displaying Impax integrated with its cardiology offerings.
Also on tap: Impax Data Center. Designed for large-scale storage of all types of medical images, Impax Data Center is based on the same technologies used in the large-scale PACS implementations of the U.K. National Health Service (NHS), Agfa said. Capable of supporting multiple sites, Impax Data Center is targeted at hospital groups, regional healthcare organizations, and national medical archives, according to the vendor.
In addition, Agfa is working to integrate advanced clinical applications into Impax. In its booth, Agfa will be presenting work-in-progress exhibits involving nuclear medicine, virtual colonoscopy, and registration/fusion of multimodality images such as CT, MR, and nuclear medicine. Agfa will also discuss developments in vessel analysis, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and CAD.
The vendor's consulting group will also be on hand to discuss Agfa's services for helping customers achieve strategic goals, interpret data, and learn how workflows can improve operational effectiveness.
