Intelerad is adding several new products to its IntelePACS line.

Referring Physician's Portal offers referring physicians access to images and reports, according to the Montreal-based vendor. Features include a Web page with login for referring physicians and the ability to send e-mails to referring physicians that contain a direct link to their patient's completed study, Intelerad said.

Referring Physician's Portal also contains tools for PACS administrators, including the ability to manage access permissions, the company said.

Intelerad has also added several new modules to IntelePACS. Reporting and transcription modules incorporate transcription and dictation with voice recognition capabilities into IntelePACS. The reports can be uploaded to a RIS or other application, and report verification with support for residents and fellows is available, Intelerad said.

In addition, Intelerad has introduced a teaching files module, designed to provide a training mode for residents. Integrated into the dictation workflow, teaching files studies are searchable and indexed by pathology and anatomy, according to the vendor. The module doesn't require extra storage in the PACS or an extra server.

Intelerad will also again highlight its InteleViewer standalone DICOM workstation software offering.
