Fujifilm Medical Systems said that it's on target to complete a large installation with the Victorian Department of Human Services (DHS) in Australia.
Of the nine Victorian agencies scheduled to receive Fuji's technology, three (Barwon Health, Melbourne Health, and the Royal Children's Hospital) have already made the transition to a digital environment, according to the Tokyo-based vendor.
Fuji is providing the nine Victorian public healthcare agency sites with its Synapse PACS network, FCR computed radiography equipment, DryPix laser printers, and support and maintenance. The initial five-year DHS contract with Fujifilm Australia is worth an estimated $28 million Australian ($24.9 million U.S.), according to the company.
