Infinitt adds ASP PACS version

RIS/PACS vendor Infinitt North America has debuted Infinitt Smart-Net, a version of its PACS offering based on an application service provider (ASP) model.

The pay-per-procedure offering includes an unlimited user license, allowing customers to distribute images to referring doctors without additional cost, according to the Phillipsburg, NJ-based vendor. Infinitt Smart-Net also doesn't include a charge for minimum volume, Infinitt said.

Infinitt said it can also provide an interface to a RIS, health information system (HIS), electronic medical record (EMR) system, or practice management system. Dictation, transcription, and CD burning capabilities are available, as is an optional caching server for local storage, according to the vendor.
