Merge releases TeleRead software

Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare has introduced its Merge TeleRead teleradiology software package.

TeleRead, which is available through Merge's Teleradiology division, integrates with Merge's Fusion RIS/PACS and Fusion RIS/PACS MX products and enables radiologists to place studies in a dedicated teleradiology worklist, according to the Milwaukee-based firm.

Studies then can be manually or automatically transmitted to an offshore reading center. The technology allows the transmission of images and prior reports, image studies, scanned documents, and all patient demographics, Merge said.
