VIENNA - Agfa HealthCare of Mortsel, Belgium, has landed a contract to provide its PACS and archiving technology to hospitals in the U.K. and Spain, the company announced at the 2008 European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
In the first deal, Agfa won a deal to provide its PACS, RIS, and cardiology software to Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust Hospitals. The deal also includes Agfa's Impax Data Center product, which allows imaging data from multiple healthcare facilities to be stored at a single site.
In the second deal, Agfa won a contract to install its Impax PACS software at CETIR Grup Mèdic (CGM), a privately held provider of radiology services based in Barcelona. The five-year deal cover's CGM's headquarters outside Barcelona, as well as some 20 satellite sites.
