Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has unveiled its new IntelliVue mobile viewer application designed to give physicians more mobility and access to patient information from anywhere within a hospital.
The IntelliVue application provides patient data and alerts through a personal digital assistant (PDA) device. The mobile viewer application can be downloaded onto an existing PDA and receive patient data wirelessly via a customer-supplied 802.11 infrastructure to ensure security.
The mobile viewer application is supported via Windows Mobile 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic and Professional.
Philips introduced the new application at the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) National Teaching Institute (NTI) & Critical Care Exposition in Chicago.
