Image compression firm Pegasus Imaging has launched an upgrade to its medical image compression package, the Tampa, FL-based firm said.
The PICTools package includes compression and decompression of JPEG 2000, lossy JPEG, lossless JPEG, and JPEG-LS image files. These image compression technologies are available for 32-bit Windows, Linux, Solaris, and IBM AIX, as well as for 64-bit platforms including Windows, Linux, and Solaris. PICTools are licensed per technology used, per platform, Pegasus said.
