Brit debuts PACS bundles

RIS/PACS vendor Brit Systems introduced new PACS bundles for offices and clinics at the 2008 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle, the company said.

The bundles are designed for groups that want to reduce the initial investment of PACS and ongoing IT support by having a vendor provide offsite storage with a PACS, according to Brit. The basic bundle includes an onsite PACS server/router/archive, licenses for Brit View and Brit Lite, a CD burner, offsite storage of images and database backups, and DICOM services, as well as Brit's Exam Loop tool for monitoring and managing the exam process, according to the Dallas-based company.
