PACS developer NovaRad of American Fork, UT, has won a deal to install its PACS software at a hospital in Texas.
Ward Memorial Hospital, a level IV trauma center in Monahans, is implementing the company's NovaPACS product. In addition to the PACS product, the hospital recently added a portable radiology system to enable radiologic technologists to go to patients if they are too critical to travel to the radiology department.
NovaRad has PACS and RIS technology installations in 18 hospitals, imaging centers, and clinics throughout Texas, the company said.
