NovaRad nets Alaskan PACS/RIS contract

PACS developer NovaRad of American Fork, UT, has won a PACS/RIS contract with an Alaskan hospital, the company reported.

Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital, a level IV trauma center in Sitka, plans to install NovaRad's NovaRIS and NovaPACS systems. Mt. Edgecumbe is part of the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, a nonprofit tribal health consortium that serves the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, and other native people of this area, according to NovaRad.
