EMS buys Templeton Readings

Emergency Medical Services' (EMS) EmCare subsidiary has acquired teleradiology services firm Templeton Readings of Sparks, MD.

Emergency Medical Services, based in Greenwood Village, CO, anticipates the transaction will contribute approximately $20 million in new annual net revenue. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dr. Philip Templeton founded Templeton Readings in 2001 to provide final reads and teleradiology services. The company currently has contracts in 31 states.

Templeton will continue as president of Templeton Readings, and he will join EmCare as vice president of strategy and development of RadStaffing Management Solutions, an EmCare subsidiary.
