IEI promotes new, familiar displays at RSNA

IEI Technology of Taipei, Taiwan, plans to add a few new monochrome and color displays to its familiar PACSmate series of LCD monitors.

The company's PACSmate series includes 5-megapixel, 3-megapixel, and 2-megapixel monochrome displays and 4-megapixel, 3-megapixel, and 2-megapixel color displays. The monochrome monitors feature 12-bit display technology, lifetime luminance stabilization, built-in display mode auto-detection, and pairing monitors for PACS applications, as well as a GeniSPOT USB calibrator and GeniPASS QC software.

The MMD-4300C is a 30-inch, 4-megapixel color medical monitor that features 30-bit deep color with both single (4-megapixel) and dual (2-megapixel) viewing options. IEI's GrayEasy technology enables the monitor to display 10-bit and 12-bit grayscale when linked to a HDMI 1.3 compatible graphic board and run the imaging viewing software on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

The independent Gamma and color temperature adjustment consists of multiple user-selectable settings that offer flexible display modes for images from different modalities. The software on-screen display function also allows remote management of power, display mode, and color temperature.

Available in the first quarter of 2009, the new MMD-2213CH is a high-brightness color medical monitor, originally up to 900 cd/m2, but calibrated up to 450 cd/m2 for simultaneous viewing of monochrome and color images.

IEI's MMC series of color displays, offering 20.1- , 19-, and 17-inch LCD size options, can be used for clinical review, modality, and endoscope applications. The DVI, VGA, and component interfaces on the MMC-2201C, for example, can be connected to a broad range of medical devices with easy portrait and landscape rotations.

MMC-1170C and MMC-1190C can be easily integrated into CT, MRI, and computed radiography applications, according to the company, with multiple video interfaces for VGA, DVI, S-Video, component, and BNC displays. Both models can be used for endoscopic applications, courtesy of adjustable color temperature settings.
