(Booth 9037) Data Distributing will highlight its DICOM CD Station offering on the RSNA show floor this year.
Featuring disk spanning and anonymization functionality, DICOM CD Station includes application software that drives the DICOM interface and a Rimage disk publishing system, according to the Santa Cruz, CA-based firm. The Rimage 5100 and 5300 systems include an embedded computer, CD and/or DVD drive, single- or dual-disk burner options, and an indelible label printer that prints patient identifiers directly on disks, Data Distributing said.
In other product developments, Data Distributing will spotlight a new marketing service that enables customizable DICOM splash screens to be embedded on CDs. The service bundle allows imaging centers to market their facility on each CD they produce, according to the firm.
When a referring physician opens the DICOM CD, they will then view a custom splash screen of the facility that produced the CD. Sites can include information such as a logo, pictures, videos, new modality announcements, links to reports, an "about us" section, and a link to the facility Web site, Data Distributing said.
