InSite One

(Booth 1815) InSite One plans to unveil a new release of its InDex Enterprise Archive and InDex Web software in Chicago.

InDex Enterprise Archive Release 6.0 features an upgrade to support XDS document sources, including a universal viewer for all XDS-supported document types, according to the Wallingford, CT-based vendor. It also employs HL7-driven workflow to enhance local access to stored data across the enterprise, according to InSiteOne.

In other new features, InDex now has the ability to bridge multiple PACS networks and reconcile multiple patient identifiers into a single, internal patient-centric registry using XDS. Users are also now able to archive and manage DICOM and non-DICOM data through a document registry using XDS, InSite One said. Other features include functionality to allow clinical data from remote sites or PACS to appear as native to the local PACS.

InSite One will also offer customers the option of utilizing InDex either as a licensed service model or an operational model. Release 6.0 is scheduled for availability in the first quarter of 2009.

In other announcements, InSite One will spotlight its InDex Web viewer for referring physicians. InDex Web provides an application service provider (ASP) option for distributing digital images and reports to referring physicians, according to the vendor.

An option for all InDex services, InDex Web can support unlimited users. In addition, it can work on multiple Web browsers, including Firefox, Mozilla, and Internet Explorer.
