Bycast releases StorageGrid 8

Bycast has released version 8 of its StorageGrid storage virtualization software.

The latest release includes a distributed file system gateway that allows users to manage primary storage to the deep archive through a single, unified system, according to the Vancouver, British Columbia-based vendor.

Other new features include multitenancy, enhanced auditing and reporting, and support for VMware ESX, Bycast said.
