Radiation therapy developer Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, plans to introduce its new OncoView image management and storage product at the upcoming RSNA meeting.
OncoView is an oncology-specific image management and storage software application designed to supplement a hospital's existing PACS by supporting oncology data; it can also operate as a standalone technology for centers that don't have such a PACS.
OncoView enables clinicians to retrieve or store important information within its own archive or within hospital PACS through industry standard communication protocols, such as HL7 and DICOM.
