Healthcare information systems firm McKesson of Atlanta has signed an agreement with Boston-based Iron Mountain to provide its hospital and imaging center customers with a new service for protecting and storing their diagnostic images.
The agreement is designed to integrate McKesson's Horizon Medical Imaging PACS with Iron Mountain's Digital Record Center for Medical Images.
The Horizon Medical Imaging PACS is a reporting and workflow system that brings together a patient's images, enhancing radiologists' ability to deliver results to the attending care team.
Iron Mountain's Digital Record Center for Medical Images manages backup and long-term data preservation.
