Imaging informatics firm Viztek of Garner, NC, has installed its Opal-Ortho PACS software at a New York state orthopedic practice.
Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists of Syracuse is a multispecialty orthopedic group consisting of 22 specialized orthopedic surgeons and 23 midlevel providers, according to Viztek. Opal-Ortho PACS includes TraumaCad templating for prosthetic preoperative planning.
Viztek integrated Opal-Ortho PACS with the modality worklist of the facility’s existing electronic medical record software to create a connection between the two. Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists also plans to replace its current practice management software, and Viztek will also be responsible for connecting that new system to the PACS network, the company said.
