Teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic (vRad) has processed more than 1 billion images so far in 2014, up more than 200 million images (20%) from 2013, according to the firm.
vRad averages roughly 50 MB per study, and its telemedicine platform will consume 400 TB of new storage by the end of this year, the firm added.vRad hits 1B image mark in 2014
